All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico

by

By Laurie Finley.

This past week, it has seemed like Fall is fast approaching.  The daylight is getting shorter, and the mornings have been cooler and crisper.  While I love all things fall, I don’t feel the same way about winter.  So of course I am already dreaming of a warm weather trip where I can get some much needed warmth and sunshine.  If you feel the same way, but are overwhelmed by all the options, I am here to help!  I specialize in all-inclusive resorts.

I would like to highlight some great all-inclusive resorts that I visited on a recent trip to Mexico.  I was able to experience a good mix of price points and options.

Let’s get started!

Hard Rock Riveria Maya is a great resort for families or couples.

There is an adult only section with an area of beach, pools, and restaurants reserved for people staying in that section.  There is also a spa in that section that is open to any adults.

The family section has endless entertainment for kids:

  • There is a great outdoor water park for kids of all ages.
  • There are plenty of pools for people to spread out and play in.
  • My favorite part of the resort is the protected saltwater lagoons you can see in the picture above. You don’t have to worry about big waves, rip currents, or large sea creatures in the lagoons as there are also nets that block the seaweed and those pesky creatures from entering the lagoons.

There are great amenities indoors for kids as well:

  • A kids’ club.
  • An indoor trampoline park.
  • A climbing wall.
  • Laser tag.
  • A video gaming room.
  • A playground.
  • An obstacle course.
  • A bowling alley.
  • Music Lab where you can learn to play an instrument, and the resort records your performance.

While Hard Rock Riveria Maya is about an hour south of the Cancun airport, Hard Rock Cancun is about 25 minutes from the airport in the Hotel Zone.

  • Hard Rock Cancun is a high-rise with high energy.
  • There is an adult only section, and families are welcome as well.
  • The hotel overlooks a beautiful stretch of beach, and there is gorgeous water for swimming in the ocean.
  • The hotel is close to bars and restaurants in the area, and the Cancun area can easily be explored from here.

If you are looking for adult only luxury, Unico 20 87 is a tranquil heaven that you will never want to leave.

  • Unico has different aromatherapy scents in all areas, and they will make a specialized one for your room!
  • The spa at Unico will create a soap for you with whatever scent/s you choose.
  • There are Instagram worthy spots everywhere you look.
  • A local host is assigned to each room to help guests with any needs during their stay.
  • This is not a resort for people looking for nightlife. It is an elegant, calming environment.

If you want the luxury of Unico, but also want to bring your family, look no further than the brand new Ava Resort.

  • Only 10 minutes from the Cancun airport.
  • All rooms face the ocean.
  • A great destination for foodies.

Activities for kids include:

  • Escape rooms.
  • A theater.
  • An arcade.
  • A bowling alley.
  • The large saltwater lagoon as seen in the photo above as well as freshwater pools on each side and a waterpark for smaller children.

All of the resorts offer so much more than I can fit in this article!  Whether this is your first time to Mexico or you are a seasoned all-inclusive traveler, I would love to help you find the resort that is a good fit for you and that will create memories to last a lifetime.  Please reach out to me at lfinley@engagetravelco.com.
