All-inclusive resorts are easy to love. With everything paid for up front, you can enjoy your vacation without worrying about budgeting or unexpected costs. What can be stressful, though, is choosing the right all-inclusive for you.

There are many all-inclusive resorts worldwide, and Mexico alone has more than 200 all-inclusive resorts.

So how do you choose?  It can be very overwhelming and time-consuming, but that is were a travel agent can be extremely helpful.

As a travel agent specializing in all-inclusive resorts, I have spent many hours visiting properties, completing courses and certifications, and networking with other industry professionals.  Here are some things to consider when booking an all-inclusive:

Adults only or family friendly? Depending on your group, you’ll want to ensure the resort caters to your needs and is easy to navigate for all guests.

Food and drink options: How important is the quality and variety of the food and drinks?  Are there certain kinds of restaurants that you want at the resort? Does anyone in your party have food allergies?

Beach vs pools: Where will you be spending most of your time? Do you prefer lounging by the pool? Or do you prefer a beautiful, sandy beach? Do you want a resort that has good snorkeling?

Activities: How active do you want to be on your trip? And what activities are included at your resort? If kids are part of your group, are there kids or teen clubs? Are there nearby excursions?

Energy level: Do you want a resort that has a relaxing vibe? Or do you want a high energy resort with a ton of entertainment?

Setting: Do you want your resort to be secluded? Or do you want easy access to explore the local culture beyond the resort? How far from the airport are you willing to travel to get to your resort?  Are transfers included in the cost of your trip?

Even after answering these questions, narrowing down your options can still feel daunting. Some of these aspects can be difficult to gauge just by browsing the resort’s website. That’s where I come in.
